Walking Routes • Northumberland National Park
Coast and Castles
Northumberland is renowned for its breath-taking coastline and historic castles. Just a short 30-minute drive away from the stunning shores of Bamburgh and Holy Island, as well as Alnwick Castle, the residence of The Duke and Duchess of Northumberland. With an abundance of beaches and castles to explore, choosing just one can be a challenge.
Northumberland Dark Sky Park
We are situated on the edge of Northumberland National Park, which was established as a protected Dark Sky Park in 2013. This makes it an ideal location for stargazing, and in recent years, we have been exceptionally lucky to witness the northern lights on numerous occasions, take a look at our photo gallery.
